About The Benton Panther Foundation

The Benton Panther Foundation started in 2007 as the brainchild of former superintendent, Dr. Tony Prothro. That fall, Dr. Prothro asked Coach Scott Neathery to be in charge of starting up a foundation that would help benefit all students by raising funds for big projects around the school district. The Foundation’s original members consisted of about 15 caring members of the Saline County community (five who were on an executive committee), many of whom are still active in the foundation.

Benton Panther Foundation

The Benton Panther Foundation is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization committed to supporting excellence in the Benton School District. We are here to provide enriched opportunities for Students to succeed in all areas of their education academics, athletics, music, technology and good citizenship. It is the endeavor of the Foundation to raise funds to provide improvements to educational and athletic facilities not otherwise provided by the district.
